Privacy Policy Terms
This Privacy Policy is effective as of January 31, 2025.
Your privacy is important to us. It is Camp Agawam’s policy to respect and protect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you across our website, https://www.campagawam.org, and other sites we own and operate.
We have adopted this privacy policy to help you understand what information we may collect from you, store, share, and use, how and why we do so, and your rights as regards that information. We only ask for your personal information when we truly need it to provide a service to you. We collect it by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent. We also let you know why we’re collecting it and how it will be used.
Information Collected
We collect personal information both directly and indirectly. “Personal information,” as the term is used throughout this policy, includes your email address, physical mailing address, phone number, age, physical characteristics, gender, passport and/or state identification, education and employment history, veteran or military status, financial information, health information, and first and last name. You directly provide your personal information to us when you fill out and submit online requests or forms. You indirectly provide your personal information to us when you interact with our website, which automatically and anonymously collects usage data. Usage data may include any unique online identifier you use, your IP address, or other similar identifiers. We use this information solely to improve our website and services.
Lawful Basis for Collection, Processing and Storage
In general, we collect and process your personal information based on your express consent. By accessing our website and submitting online requests or forms, you consent to our collection and use of your personal information as described herein. Your continued use of our website is regarded as acceptance of our practices around privacy and personal information. When you enter into an agreement with us then we may collect and use your personal information pursuant to that agreement for the purpose of fulfilling its terms.
You may withdraw consent given to Camp Agawam to use your personal information at any time, and we will cease storing or using your personal information as requested. Please be advised that withdrawal of your consent to use personal information you provided to Camp Agawam does not limit our ability to use aggregated and anonymized data in connection with future legitimate business activities. It also does not prevent us from retaining and processing your personal information if required by applicable law or to preserve legal claims. Finally, withdrawal of consent does not prevent us from utilizing your personal information if it was collected, stored, and processed pursuant to a lawful basis other than your consent.
When use of personal information is based on an agreement with Camp Agawam, withdrawal of your consent will be effective only after completion of the agreement.
In all cases, we will comply with applicable law, and we will cease retention and/or use of your personal information after the applicable lawful basis or obligation expires.
